BLS for Health Care Provider (New Certification Course)

$65 per student

 

     DESCRIPTION: Teaches CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, bag-valve-mask, and supplemental oxygen); AED use; and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction relief in responsive and non-responsive victims of all ages.

 

     INTENDED AUDIENCE: Physicians, nurses, EMT-P's, EMT-B's, respiratory / physical / occupational therapists, physician assistants, medical / nursing students, nurse's aides, and other allied health personnel. 

 

     LENGTH: 4 - 6 hours

 

BLS for Health Care Provider (Renewal Course)

$35 per student

 

     DESCRIPTION: All skills of BLS Healthcare Provider course covered in a shorter, watch-then-practice format.  Intended for those medical professionals who use the BLS for HCP skills on an everyday basis at work.

 

     INTENDED AUDIENCE: Physicians, nurses, EMT-P's, EMT-B's, respiratory / physical / occupational therapists, physician assistants, medical / nursing students, nurse's aides, and other allied health personnel.

 

     LENGTH: 3 hours

Heartsaver CPR

$45 per student

 

     DESCRIPTION: Covers how to recognize and treat cardiac arrest using CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), how to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children; choking in adults, children, and infants; and rescue breathing with and without barrier devices.

    

     INTENDED AUDIENCE: All lay rescuers, including the general public, firefighters, police officers, security guards, airline personnel, child care workers, babysitters, family members of patients at high risk for cardiac arrest.

 

     LENGTH: 2 - 3 Hours

 

Heartsaver AED

$55 per student

 

     DESCRIPTION: A modular course that teaches CPR, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use, relief of choking in adults and children; infant CPR and relief of choking; and child and infant safety.

 

     INTENDED AUDIENCE: All lay rescuers, including the general public, firefighters, police officers, security guards, airline personnel, child care workers, babysitters, family members of patients at high risk for cardiac arrest.

 

    LENGTH: 4 Hours

 

Heartsaver First Aid

$65 per student

 

     DESCRIPTION: Basic First Aid teaches victim care skills, such as treatment of musculoskeletal, soft tissue, head and spinal injuries, poisoning, and medical conditions such as diabetic emergencies and seizures.

 

     INTENDED AUDIENCE: All lay responders with duty to respond such as airline personnel, security guards, and employees in the workplace; family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death, and those who feel they may need to respond to an emergency.

 

     LENGTH: 3 Hours

 

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid (w/ CPR & AED)

$95 per student

 

     DESCRIPTION: Covers managing illness and injuries in a child in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.  Topics include first aid basics, medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental emergencies. Additionally, CPR and use of an AED on children from birth to eight years of age is covered.

 

     INTENDED AUDIENCE: Child-care workers, teachers, foster-care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, coaches/Little League organizations, as well as parents, grandparents, pre-schools, day-care centers, foster parents, teachers, babysitters and all non-healthcare child care providers who want to learn First Aid, CPR, and the use of an AED.

 

     LENGTH: 3 Hours

Bloodborne Pathogens

$25 per student

 

     DESCRIPTION: The Bloodborne Pathogens awareness program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.  (1 Year Certification)

 

     INTENDED AUDIENCE: Workplace providers of First Aid, CPR, and AED's.

 

     LENGTH: 1 - 2 Hours

 

Emergency Oxygen Administration

$25 per student

 

     DESCRIPTION: Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for cardiac arrest or brain damage.  Emergency Oxygen administration is a critical step in treating life-threatening illness or injury. This program focuses on administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing and oxygen delivery devices.  (3 Year Certification)

 

     INTENDED AUDIENCE: All lay responders with duty to respond such as airline personnel, security guards, and employees in the workplace; family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death, and those who feel they may need to respond to an emergency.

 

     LENGTH: 1 - 2 Hours
